If you have ever been to India or have relatives who live in India or even
watched the  news about India on your television set you would know that India
is very polluted with pollution. There are some ways they have come up with
removing this pollution with sanitation methods. How these ways have
affected India’s pollution and how they haven’t. What other ways Indians are
also using to get rid of pollution.  There are many proposals as well to get rid of
pollution in India. How people are suffering because of all the pollution in India.
There are many organizations that started to rise in 2005 on getting ways to
reduce pollution. According to an Interview of  a TED fellow Sunita Nadhamuni
who works for Arghyam which is a charitable institution that just focuses on
working with water since that is one of the most important needs of life that
should not be polluted. Arghyam conduct surveys of certain places in India and
their water supply to see how polluted it is and ways to help reduce the pollution.
According to the TED interview I have also found that 85% of the population in
India relies on groundwater which is not very clean. I believe Arghyam is a great
organization that has helped India’s water be much cleaner to the people who live
there and tourists that come from all over the world. According to another article
on May 23, 2005 “ India addresses air pollution with new standards” India’s high
population is increasing pollution. “Vehicle emissions are one of the major
causes of air pollution. The approach they have come up with is “India will follow
the European emission norms and fuel quality regulations. which in india are
called Bharat Stage norms.”
One approach they used on lowering air pollution was by
“ Indian refiners have upgraded their gasoline and diesel quality to implement
the Euro I equivalent norms in the entire Country. This is one of the approaches
that Indian organizations came up with to reduce air pollution.
